Three years ago, we first arrived in Pelion—not quite knowing what we would find. We began exploring, walking the winding paths between mountain villages and coastal towns, hiking through forests and discovering hidden beaches. Slowly, we uncovered a place that felt like a secret world: wild and authentic, with breathtaking nature, welcoming people, incredible food, and beaches that seem like they were taken straight from a postcard.
It didn’t take long before we realized—this is somewhere we could truly call home.
Pelion is one of those rare places that can offer something for every kind of traveler. Whether you’re here for hiking, seaside relaxation, culinary adventures, or simply to enjoy a slower pace of life, there’s always something more to discover.
We wanted to share a few of our personal “golden picks”—the places we always recommend to friends and family visiting Pelion. This isn’t a full guide (Pelion is packed with hidden gems!), but rather a little taste of what we love:

Fakistra Beach
One of the most stunning and dramatic beaches in Pelion. A bit of an adventure to get to (you’ll need to hike down), but totally worth the effort for its turquoise waters, steep cliffs, and sense of seclusion.

Rivera Beach Bar, Kato Gatzea A laid-back beach bar right by the sea—perfect for sunset drinks, light meals, and that relaxed Greek summer vibe. We always end up here when we’re craving a slow afternoon
with great views.

Chorefto Village A wonderful spot to explore in East Pelion—this seaside village has a long, sandy beach, charming tavernas, and makes a great base for coastal hikes or exploring the nearby mountain villages.

Agia Trikeri At the southern tip of Pelion, Agia Trikeri feels like stepping back in time. A peaceful village with stunning views over the sea, narrow stone paths, and a unique sense of serenity.
The journey there is just as magical—along the way, you’ll pass scenic viewpoints, charming mountain villages, hidden bays perfect for a swim, and breathtaking mountain landscapes.

Karaiskos Farm A beautiful spot near Portaria where you can experience local agriculture, taste fresh produce, and even participate in cooking workshops. A fantastic place to connect with Pelion’s rich food culture.
Of course, this is just the beginning—Pelion is full of surprises waiting to be found. Whether you’re here for a short holiday or dreaming of a longer stay, this region has a way of capturing your heart.
If you’re planning a trip and want more tips, feel free to reach out—we’re always happy to share our love for this magical place.
