GETTING AROUND CORFU

To experience Corfu in the best and most comfortable way, you need a car or a scooter.

our natural choice will always be a scooter - summer breeze in your hair, sun on your skin, easy to drive through the crowded city and never having to look for a parking place.

you can rent a vehicle in the rental agencies at the airport or on the island. If you're visiting the island in high season, I recommend renting in advance.

THINGS TO DO ON CORFU

CORFU OLD TOWN

In the early evening hours, get to the old town of Corfu and get lost between the small pedestrian streets. Besides the beautiful architecture, you will find many boutiques, taverns and bars.

CANAL D'AMOUR BEACH

Located in the northern part of the island, you will find this pearl, rocky beach with natural bays and caves. Throw a towel on the smooth stone and watch the open blue sea spread in front of you. Do not give up on jumping from the cliff. You only live once.

LA GROTTA

This famous beach bar is located on one of the most impressive bays in Corfu island. It's not a kept secret due,if its a sunny day, you should expect it's going to be busy. We recommend arriving early in the morning, when the beach bar opens its gates, and spending a few hours without the crowd. Taking your time to jump and swim in the crystal clear water. This way, when everyone comes, you will already be comfy in your chosen spot drinking margaritas (they make good ones) and enjoy the atmosphere. You can take a boat taxi from the raft in the middle of the bay to the isolated beaches around.

PORTO TIMONI BEACH

a hidden gem located under the village afines - although the view of this unique beach is breathtaking from the view point, don't give up on getting down to the beach and spend some time under the sun. Two attached bays, located back to back creates two beautiful, small and simple - in a good way beaches. Take with you some snacks, drinks and shadow as you will not find a beach bar down there.and you also get an exercise session on your way up, to balance all the gyros.

Imabari

At the foot of the old town of Corfu, you will find this cool beach bar, the perfect place for an afternoon drink and a deep in the sea.

In the old town, you will find Nolita, an modern Italian restaurant with incredible dishes made of local fresh ingredients. don't miss out on the black truffle pizza, you can thank us later.

Taverna niños

A tavern located in the old town where you can enjoy traditional corfu dishes - Greek dishes with Venetian influence. This tavern is loved and well known, so there is a big chance you will have to stand in line in order to get a table. If you don't have the time or the patience, get inside and order a gyros for take away. They make the best ones in Corfu. Get yourself a seat next to the fountain, and you are good.

To tsipouradiko

A traditional tsipouro located in the old town, a variety of Greek dishes, served on small plates, a pitcher of ouzo and you are all set. If you are lucky, you will get to eat to the sounds of a bouzouki played by the owner.

The White House

A gourmet restaurant located on the beautiful Kalami Bay. The owner of the restaurant is a local chef with Michelin-star restaurants around the world. He uses fresh and local ingredients which they produce on their family farm. Above the restaurant, you can find two holiday homes you can stay in. At night time, the restaurant has a romantic atmosphere, great food, amazing drinks and wine and service. During the daytime, they serve breakfast and you can enjoy their small beach bar.

Ambelonas vineyard and restaurant

a vineyard where you can come for a tasting or dinner during the summer. At the tasting you will get a short lecture about the history and the process of the vineyard and wine making. After learning about this unique place, product and people,you will be seated in the charming garden, and will have the pleasure of eating mazes hand made by the owner and chef, and of course, drink a lot of wine. You can also arrive just for dinner and order from the special menu they suggest. Just reserve a table in advance.
